There’s no doubt that 2015 is set to be a revolutionary year for technology and innovation. From Apple to Microsoft – there is an incredible range of smartphones, tablets, and operating systems that will be introduced in the coming year.

The list is practically endless, but here is a brief selection of the best and most highly anticipated gadgets of 2015.


Samsung Galaxy S6

Anticipated release date: March 2015

With two designs in the works, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is one of the most anticipated releases of 2015.

There have been numerous rumours in circulation in recent months, ranging from T-Mobile’s ‘Six Appeal’ teaser, to Carphone Warehouse’s pre-registration promotion that promises to deliver the new product on March 1st 2015.

One of the most intriguing ideas is that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be considerably faster than its predecessors – featuring a Quad HD screen and Exynos 7 process. There is also a widely held view that the new Samsung model will include Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.

We can’t wait to see what Samsung deliver in the next coming months.

HTC One M9

Anticipated release date: March 2015

The HTC One M8 is an industry favourite, so it’s not surprising that the M9 is hotly anticipated in 2015.

The full specifications have already been released – and providing they’re right – the HTC One M9 will most likely feature:

  • HD Super LCD3 display
  • Adreno 430 graphics
  • Snapdragon 810 processor

With a super-slim design, there’s also plenty of rumours that the M9 will come in a two-tone gold or silver finish.We don’t doubt that this new model will be in high-demand in 2015.

Anticipated release date: Summer 2015 

Undoubtedly one of the most popular smartphones of 2014, the LG G3 took the industry by storm because of its stunning display and improved interface.

But its the LG G4 which promises to break all the records again. It is widely expected that the G4 will feature a sapphire crystal screen and 3K screen. The pixel density is also expected to be extremely high (601ppi) – something you would expect from the 1620 x 2880 screen.

Other than that, there’s not much else we know about the LG G4. One thing is certain, though – it’s one of the most exciting technological innovations of 2015.

iPhone 6S/7

It was less than a year ago that Apple released its hugely anticipated iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Never one to disappoint, it’s widely regarded that the iPhone 6S/7 will be introduced this coming autumn – named either the iPhone 6S or 7.

The rumour mill has been spinning with great anticipation – with faster processor, improved graphics, and enhanced specifications all predicted as standard. But some of the most interesting aspects of the iPhone 6S/7 have concerned the new model’s design.

  • 7inch screen

Regardless of what happens this autumn, it’s commonly expected that the iPhone 6S/7 will once again revolutionise the smartphone industry.

Nokia N1

Anticipated release date: March/April 2015 

Once notable for producing phones, Nokia have branched into the tablet industry – and the Nokia N1 is widely expected to surpass audience expectations.

The tablet is already available in China and has been praised for providing some much-needed competition to the Nexus 9 and iPad Mini 3.

The Nokia N1 comes with an impressive range of specifications, including:

  • 4GhZ quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 9 inch screen

iPad Air 3

The new iPad Air was always going to generate plenty of attention – and the iPad Air 3 is no different.

Given how much Apple excels in keeping its secrets, there’s not much we know yet about the new iPad Air 3. But the expectations are certainly high – especially with regards to battery life and performance

Sony Xperia Z4 Dual

Anticipated release date: September 2015

Following the release of some very informative screenshots, the much-anticipated Xperia Z4 is set to please even the fussiest techies.

According to the available information, some of the Xperia Z4 Dual specifications include:

  • Android 5.0.2
  • 2inch 1080p
  • Snapdragon 810 chipset
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 21 MP camera

This means that Sony are set to offer one of the most competitive tablets on the market – and it won’t be long before it’s released, either.

Operating Systems

Microsoft 10

Anticipated release date: Autumn/Winter 2015

After the mixed response from Microsoft 8, the tech-wizards at Microsoft are hoping to redeem themselves once again with the release of Microsoft 10.

Free for existing OS users, Microsoft 10 is set to include a number of fantastic features such as an Xbox app and all-new ‘Spartan’ web browser.

There is no set release date, yet, and there’s been much speculation surrounding this new product. However, it’s expected that Microsoft 10 will be released at the end of 2015.

There is no doubt that 2015 will be an incredible year for new technology – particularly if you’re a fan of smartphones and tablets.

But this is only a small selection of what’s anticipated to be released, and we don’t doubt that the majority of tech-products in this blog will exceed even our expectations.
