How To View PowerPoint Presentations On Android

Android has already surpassed iOS and has become the most popular mobile operating system now. You might already be aware that thousands of Android powered smart phones and tablets are now available ranging from different manufacturers like HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola, etc.

Android Apps:

The first idea that runs through your mind is probably to use Android apps. A few popular applications to view a PowerPoint Presentation on your Android powered devices are Documents to Go, Quick Office, and Office Suite ThinkFreeOffice.They serve the primary aim but they fail to render transition and animation effects.

Online Applications:

Image Sequences:

Every mobile phone support viewing images. You can save Slide Sequences as images and view them on your mobile phone or render it as a video. 

In Office 2007:

1. Click on the Office button> “Save As”> “Other Formats”.

2. From the Dropdown menu, Choose either “.JPG or .PNG” for maximum quality.

Be sure to tick the ‘All Slides’ checkbox to export all slide as image sequences.

In PowerPoint 2003 and 2010:

1. Click “File” on the ribbon and choose “Save As”.

2. From the Dropdown menu, Choose either “.JPG or .PNG” for maximum quality.

In PowerPoint 2010 or later, you can convert presentation to a video straightforward. You can retain all the transition/animation effects, sound, fonts, embedded video clips e.t.c.

If you wish to convert the PPT to a video in older versions of powerpoint, you will need to install external tools like Moyea converter.

  2. I was using an app I’d download from the Google Play store to view Powerpoint presentations at first. It came along with a full suite of software similar to Excel and Word. It served me pretty well. I never had a problem downloading or viewing PPT documents on my Android.

    But when I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy, there was a preinstalled program for viewing Powerpoint. It’s called Polaroid. Anyone else have any experience with this app for viewing slides?
